Jonny joints are rebuildable. SAK5 runs them and likes em. Everbody else I know uses heims. I'm not sure what the price difference is these days between them . I think that would be the game changer

Lots of options out there these days...tmr has a lifetime joint, summit machines joints are nice, heims are everywhere and i have no idea whats truly best. I do believe jjs are really nice. I say go with whatever is in the budget as it can almost always be changed later.

the X Chassis and red buggy both run johnny joints. I have been doing lots of reading on different forums and vendor and manufacturing sites as to which one is the best. the johnny joints seem to run about $200 more for the set. my wife tells me to go ahead and get the johnny joints if that is what I want. haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet.

i run heims. for a rock crawler they last years before they get loose. hell if youre light like mine the 7/8x3/4 stuff is perfect or go big 1.25 and you'll never wear them out.
the rebuildable stuff is a pain in the ass, i'd rather just unthread a heim and throw in a fresh one

Running RuffStuff heims on my four link. Probably do the same for my front link.

Rig is looking good.

we have decided to set the motor back about 6" to help balance the buggy and also so we can fit the radiator under the hood and not have it hanging off the front like before. also going to cut the frame right before the shock tower. amazing how a simple cage redo has turned into a major rework of the buggy

Let's see some updates.
not much of an update but some pictures; moved the engine back to help with weight distribution and to clean it up so we could get the radiator under the hood. to be able to do so had to cut out part of the floor pan but plan on putting it back in. Now I need to pick up some links that have my heims in them (thanks Kenny) to start the reassembly.
