Back on the buggy today and got a little bit done. Reworked the passenger side boat side and have the driver side mocked up as well. I'll get the tabs mounted and have them bolted on soon.
I've got the skid plate brackets on, side panels cut out, and all of my wiring zip tie mounts attached. I forgot about building a skid plate for the oil pan so I built the oil sump guard over the weekend being this bitch is going to be a belly dragger.
Other than getting the coil mounted I have no other fabs items on the list so it's tear down time. I'll get the axles pulled and rebuilt first then move along to the weld out. Glad I waited for 100 degree weather to weld out the chassis.
Got everything pulled other than the TC. I'm going to make a few adjustments on the mount being I can leave crap alone. I forgot how small the chassis is. It's going to look crazy on 39" reds.
I waited for the heat index to hit 109 yesterday before I went out to the shop. I'm dumb like that.
Starting pulling the front axle apart so that I can get all the new parts in it. Bearings, seals, axle shafts, gears, locker, ARP studs, high steer arms, and brakes. I only got one side done before I said fawk it.
Spent some time on getting the axle stripped down, cleaned and welded out yesterday. Might try and paint it today then move to the rear axle. All I have on it is weld out and paint.
