Was checking the back 40 fence and looking for some wayward cattle this afternoon / evening.
I had to pause and reflect for a bit then snap this picture for posterity.
So many good times and great memories were had and made in this little valley. One of many of mine was a TX4x4 run with the midnighters where RIck was riding with Kenny and yelling “DON’T YOU KILL ME!” while Kenny was calmly eating a sandwich while sidehilling the far side as we ran up instead of down.

What are some of Y’alls memories made in this area?

Is that the old V-notch at Katemcy? I remember the first time I met you. I drove my blazer across the wrong part of the road up by the shop and you yelled at me. Shortly after we all sat and enjoyed some of your dads upside down pineapple cake from the Dutch oven. Simpler times for sure.

One of these days I'm going to go look for my sockets in the notch.

I remember that trip. It was my first time at Katemcy with the scout. I came down with Sam Woody. Jimbo was there also.

We rode for about 5 min before the Scout died. Turned out to be a pinched fuel line on the newly installed gas tank.

I think it was shortly after that when we got word of Limey grenading the Blazer on the water fall.

Later we were running the waterfall trail. I was bypassing the v notch without a spotter and dumped the Scout over in the water, spilling my socket set everywhere.

A few years later the notch claimed the windshield on the S10 when I slid off the wall.

I'm not sure what happened to Limey. I think I remember hearing something about him moving to Dallas or Austin.

The last time I saw him was the Thanksgiving run at Juno. He had a full bed of firewood and spun out on one of the creek crossings on the highway.

Found a pic of my old buggys first trip there after the rebuild on my old junk box while looking for the pic of modify flopping his red jeep that I couldn’t find. So many great photos on it that I don’t know how to transfer off. Had to take a pic of the screen.
Memory is hazy but I think Dustin took the pic. I do know it was a sunday morning and Harley was in the group. God speed you are missed

I sure do miss that place. I never had the opportunity to take the buggy there but did take the fat ass PIG there a few times. Always was a good time.
