It was a great weekend of friends and wheeling, we pretty much stayed smiling and laughing all weekend. The park was awesome even with a few slick spots. Fantastic weekend for sure.

    Well...I blew a tranny.

Well, it was a great weekend of wheeling. We hit the road around Noon on Thursday to get ahead of the shenanigans for ProjectFreedom's bachelor party. We got into Mason around 10 after having dinner in Fredericksburg. Drank some beer and talked into the night.

Friday, we got to the park in time to unload, get ready, and hit the trails with the Midnighters. Did some greens, yellows, and reds, including TRex. Wheeled all day and drank a lot of beer.

Saturday, we ended up getting to the park a little and missed the MFWs and gave up looking for them after about an hour. Big Country and me hit the trails while our chase truck hit the blue trails. We did several reds, yellows, and greens including Daredevil (helluva a short climb but my ass ate my underwear pucker factor). We decided we'd start heading towards camp while hitting some reds starting off with Psycho Path. I let Robert take the wheel but I suck as a spotter and he sucks as a driver. I got back in the seat and crawled through the entrance up to the wall. Gave it a couple of good runs before losing my line. Backed completely off and tried to move into a new line...next thing I know, my tranny is grenaded and my front end is all kinds of WTF. I was lucky as hell as the Amarillo guys were there watching when it all went down. These guys embody that wheeling spirit just like Harley did. Awesome group of guys that stopped their wheeling to help me out. I was in a hell of a pickle being Austin Powered in between two huge rocks. We decided to slide the ass end one way with one winch, attached two winches to the front end from the top of the rocks (Amarillo guys), and I hooked up my winch to another rock to slide the front end the opposite direction. Took us several tries but were finally able to get it lined up to pull it out. The yank back in itself was a helluva trip when Brian (Amarillo) pulled me all the way to camp having to get on it several times through some green trails. I was sore for about 2 days from this alone. Finally made it back in time to load up and get to the Crawl raffle. Then headed back to the cabin to cook up some steaks and drink some more beer and give Robert his last farewell. 2finger

    The Blazer

Great weekend of wheeling. Now I'm on the hunt for a 5.3, new TH350, and linking the front.
